Overview The HMO possesses unique magnetic field calibration facilities and infrastructure in a magnetically clean environment, which enable the Technology group to provide quality controlled magnetic field and sensor-related services to clients on a commercial basis. Some of these services, such as those related to aircraft navigation, are mandated by law to ensure air traffic safety. The Technology group also carries out contract based research and development work based on advanced digital signal processing techniques, such as Kalman filtering, data adaptive filtering, wavelet analysis, and neural networks. These techniques are, for example, applied for the integration of digital signals from various sensors to create low-cost intelligent sensor subsystems for use in the fields of navigation and orientation. |
